    Question anyone paint primitives? saltbox houses, sheep, etc.??

    just wondering who else paints this kind of stuff?? i just started on my first primitive project. my step-dad cut out a door topper for me to paint. it is pretty fun so far...... i have painted other things, but this is my first primitive. anyone else???

    I love primitive to the problem is i haven't tried it because my mom is so good at that stuff. I am just starting to do them. thanks to you guys. but now you have added that pattern site sherry i am going to do it by cheating.

    Diana,
    To me.... primitive art is often exaggerated forms (like fat cows with toothpick legs... Painted in a distressed muted or rusty colors.... It is not perfect painting as in tole w/ that little glimmer in the eye...
    It's ruff and primitive looking....... TJMO

    sherry had a site that showed some primitives. it was so cute. they defantly look easy to do.
