Anyone latch hook?

Anyone into latch hook rugs?
I have seen some really interesting ones online. I would love to try braiding a rug too.

I have made rugs and drawn the patterns freehand on canvas with great results, but I am ready for something more advanced then the simple hook.

By latch hook are you talking about those kits they sell with pictures of animals, clowns, and other charactors? What I am thinking of is a piece of canvas that use tie yarn through to make wall hangings. Or maybe they are supposed to be rugs. I started a cat one as a child but never finished it.

I would LOVE to learn how to braid rugs. I have seen some beautiful ones at the Amish stores and at craft fairs. The ones that I have seen cost so much I would be afraid to use them.
