peafowl feathers
Just curious as to if anyone has done any crafting with peafowl feathers. I clean house for a lady who has 4 peacocks and she has given me some of their shedded feathers. My daughter has made earrings and is experimenting with making headbands.

I have used them in costumes and hair clips. It's hard to get nice ones these days.

I've heard it's considered bad luck to use them in home decor. Guess it's only bad luck if you believe it is. We've had them around and nothing bad has happened that we noticed.
I have a pair of earrings that have gold oat beads added to the bottom of the feathers.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Spirit Deer, now that you say that.....
I remember one of my neighbors had them in her house as decoration and that house burned to the ground. Everyone got out safely and the community banded together to get her a new double wide. Not sure if the overall would be considered bad luck or what though.total debt: $23977.09 updated 04/02/11

I guess it was bad luck for the feathers that we had them in our house. The cats ripped them to shreds!
