What can I do with these???
I have in my possesion - don't laugh,
HUGE toilet roll tubes! Well that's what they look like.
They had professional contact paper wrapped around them, well they still do at the moment but I want to cut it into small squares as it will be easier to store.
The thing is these cylindars are cardboard but very very thick and stand about 5 foot high!
What can I do with these apart from bin them??
Any ideas???

If you have lightweight fabric, they will make great curtain rods.
I use PVC pipe for such things, but the cardboard works just as well, you can paint it, stick end caps of fabric covered styrofoam balls and you have a lovely curtain rod for ZERO $$.
Also, you can cover them with either shirred n material or flat material adheared wit glue and do a valance or wrap wired around it to hold up tabs tops.
ALSO, if you need a room divider, these can be hung from the ceiling with fishing line and cut to length and a length of fabric, paper, etc will act as a room divider or screen.
Just keep the fabric light weight so if you use the 5 foot length it wont wiegh down in the middle.

You could use paper mach'e and sculpt on them, make totems or interesting plant stands.... coat them well with paint and sealer and plant them on the ground and cover with an interesting texture or design and put bird houses or plants on top... Use them for poles for a light weight arbour in the garden.. Paint and seal, plant in the ground and use wire cloth or trellis to make the top...... Plant lots of ivy or vines around it... use your imagination....

cut a alit in one end about 3 inches long and wrap your christmas tree lights on them. easy to store. cut them into the right size to make fabric covered napkin rings. use them as play swords as part of a costume. let us know what you decide to do with them
