Thumbs up Tutorials - Please vote for 1.......

Okay ladies I plan on doing 3 tutorials, crocheting, hand knitting and basic sewing. I need you to vote if you are interested in learning any of these, so I can see in what order to do them.

Hopefully I'll be able to put everything together and start early next week.

Sewcrafty, I'm sitting here with a smile on my face. So far the poll reads

    crochet - 1
    knitting - 1
    sewing - 1

    That should help.

I voted for crocheting because I've always wanted to learn to do that and have never been successful. I can knit and sew so don't have a problem there but when it comes to crocheting, well thats a whole different story.

My mom use to crochet up a storm but never taught me how. She no longer does it.

I would like to learn basic sewing.. hand and machine. I have a machine and I don't know how to use it. I inherited it from my mother and I don't want it to sit not being used...
Thank you for starting this tutorial

You forgot the option "all of the above" I voted sewing, though, because I am left handed, and I can see myself getting frustrated trying to learn from a "rightie" and online too LOL

Michelle, well it will be all the above eventually. LOL
Just need to find out where most of the interest is first. You should be able to follow a crochet or knit tutorial. The only thing different would be you would work the rows left to right. All the stitches would look the same.

CJ and Carolyn we will get there, I'm hoping for crochet first too, I have already been making some notes. But I will be happy to do any of them. I would almost like to leave the sewing till last, because as you know CJ, it is different from quilting and I don't want to confuse anyone.

Leiloni77, what brand name machine do you have? I will look it up on the web and familiarize myself with it so I can help you.

Melissa, I don't quite understand your post, but I'm glad your son is happy!!

Ladies (and gents), please don't worry about having enough time. There will be no time constraints on any of these tutorials. I will be doing all of the above mentioned tutorials and you will be able to print them out or save to a floppy disk so you can follow at your own pace.

Crafting is a relaxing passtime for me no matter what craft I am doing, and I want it to be the same for you. I will answer all the questions you have, so it doesn't matter if you are a newbie or just want to learn new stitches or techniques. There will be something for everyone.

I voted for the hand knitting. I can knit some, but would love to learn more.

I already crochet well (used to teach it too) and can sew fairly well (used to make bridesmaids and prom dresses).

I can always use a refresher course on any subject though
