French Knitting Patterns (needed)
I have lots of odd pieces of wool and we have just bought a wooden dolly at a jumble sale to do French Knitting - sometimes called spool knitting or corking.
I can't find ANY patterns though of things to do with it once it is made.
Do you know of any or have any ideas?
Thanks - Bev. xxxx

LOL - I know you MUST do it there LOL - It's just what do you call it???? Duh?
Well when I was little many moons ago
We didn't have 'proper' sets for it (unless my mother was more frugal than I thought lol) So my dad nailed 4 nails in a wooden cotton reel and you wound wool round them and then started again only you slipped the first stitch over the new one and off the nail.
Eventually you got a tube shaped 'knit' that came out the cotton reel hole and got longer and longer - we coiled them and made coasters (but that was very boring lol)
Am I making any sense yet?
ROFL here - I KNOW somebody has heard of this! Haven't you? LOL
