has anyone used paint for plastic?
or gallery glass? I saw a really cute plastic ornament painted with paint for plastic. The paints cost about $3.50 for a pack of assorted colors.
I was thinking this would be a great thing for holiday giftmaking. Plastic is much cheaper than glass ornaments.
walmart, joanns, and lowes carry these paints. They come in paints, primers, and sealers.
There are few craft book design guides too.
Between this and gallery glass there are just so many neat projects that can be made.

Looks good although I wonder if it would be expensive. You need primer as well as overcoat. I've never used it though and actually haven't seen it anywhere in the city as of yet. Course, were usually behind the States with anything new that comes out in crafts!!
It would make wonderful Christmas gifts though especially if you were sending them out to anyone. You wouldn't have to worry about breakage with plastic.

Last year I did stained glass painting on glass orn. The thing I didn't like about it was the brush strokes were easy to see.

Melody and I were just talking about Gallery Glass the other day. I would llike to do a "stained Glass look" to my sliding glass door. and in the second link there, i saw a window that has a green medallion looking thing in the center. I like the ripply clear part of that window, and thought I might like to do that to my front door, I would like some privacy instead of having everyone be able to see into the house.

I have used paint for plastic, but it was the spray can kind. I painted a kitty litter box with it and it worked well. no chips so far.

I have used both... The glass paint I used wasn't applied with a brush, you use an applicator on the bottle. I liked both. I used the glass paint to do stainglass painted lightbulbs for Christmas and stained glass jars also. Both were pretty ! I have also used a spray on glass frosting with varied results...

I too have used both with great results. I did two windows in my other house (2 yrs.ago) with the gallery glass and it's still very vibrant and beautiful.
