Exclamation Craft challenge reports - August 13th

Wow, we haven't reported in for quite a few days now. Its been really hot here, but I'm making a point of quilting every day.

I only have to put sashing on the baby quilt I made for charity. Then I'll quilt it by machine and put the binding on next week.

I have 6 blocks to finish the Christmas quilt I'm making. There are 144 triangles in it. Its all done in reds and greens.

I found patterns for 3 different layouts for the Log Cabin quilts and plan to make all 3. They aren't large and are fun to make. I love the Log cabin pattern.

How is everyone else doing on this challenge?

I washed and ironed fabric for a quillow I'm making for a friend with cancer I am struggling with the pattern for it, though I know it's not really that tough.

Thanks CJ. He actually started chemo two days after Dee.

That's the sad thing about the quillow...it doesn't even have a quilt 'pattern' per se. It should be really easy, but I'm not a sewer so everything comes harder for me.

I've got several projects going at this time- mostly stuff for various charities, and some baby stuff for my new great niece/nephew that is due next March.

I've been sitting here at my son's computer today, trying to clean off this horrid blaster worm, so I've been knitting a mindless scarf while waiting for pages to load and so forth.

I have several baby caps cut out and a few sewn (my dd even commented that they looked store bought- quite a compliement from her), and some fleece and flannel blankets I need to hem.

I haven't been doing so good, but would like to start in on my quilting again. I just need to get in gear each day when Isaac goes down for his nap.

I haven't really done much at all - it's just been too hot for anything here

I made my new candle - which I'm happy with and planning to make some more. And I tidied my craft shed too.

I REALLY want to get on with Oliver's scrapbook or it's never going to be finished in time, but I have orders for some cards to do too

I haven't done any crafting in almost 2 weeks Now that all my company has left and my house is clean I can get back into it again.

As soon as I'm off the computer I plan on spending half an hour knitting a dishcloth.

Oh well, it is for the greater cause that I scrafice my Christmas crafts. LOl

Well I finished the 6 blocks, now I need to put them together, sew the border and do the sashing.

This is hard though because its all POINTS and I need to be extra cautious to get them all lined up right. I won't do this one again, but it was fun doing it.
