Calling all crafters or want to have fun people...UPDATED!!!!
Now taking participants in the Village Junk Wars.
What are the village junk wars you ask? A new monthly activity.
I'll be giving a list of items that can be found around the house and a few that may need to be purchased. Each contestant will create something out of the list of items. The winner will receive a prize. Judging will be done poll style by majority vote. You must be able to post a picture of your completed entry.
Each person will be allowed to add up to three of their own additional items to complete their finished entry, but they must list ahead of time what those items will be. (list your additional items after the monthly supply list I provide is posted)
Village Junk Wars will have a max money amount able to be spent per contest. Your additional items you select to create your masterpiece will have to fall within that budget.
If interested, please sign up here.
Sign ups will be held monthly like swaps and I will name the main supply lists and budget for the extra items.
This is all in fun and should be in the tradition of "trash to treasure" type nature. Many items will be household items and some will be new. Participants can take this as serious or as goofy as they want each month. Can create something completely mish mosh or something practical.
Fun fun fun.

Things like glue, pens, markers, staples won't be additional items. More like items like beads, buttons, glitter, stickers, rubber bands etc. will be additional supplies.
I'll keep sign up open for a week.
If in doubt...just ask when you're ready to post your extra items.
The budget for these amounts will vary monthly according to the main supply list posted, but it won't be high cost overall. I'm shooting for $15 max for any of these Junk Wars.
And that's if you don't have some of the household items and if you decide to have additional items on your supply list.
We'll see how it goes first round and see if it needs any adjustments.
I'll jump in too. Gabe and I fighting over the supplies. lol How could I resist a good wrestling match? If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online.
