Dh and I made one of the lighted glass brick projects that Carolyn posted!!!
Can you tell that I am proud of myself? We bought the 8x8x3 brick at Lowe's, a set of 20 white lights and a spool of wired ribbon from Walmart and it turned out beautiful!! I used a plaid red, green and gold ribbon. The drilling was not as hard as I thought, dh bought a drill bit made especially for drilling glass 1/2 inch. The drilling was the hardest. I also thought that puttins some little feet on the bottom made from some of those glass marbles, the kind that are flat on one side and round on the other. E6000 glue would hold them I think.
I am feeling so proud, it has been so long since I really made something. I am gonna take it to work and see if anyone may be interested in ordering some.
Thanks for sharing Carolyn!

I was thinking about little feet too. I was thinking those clear frniture bumper things. they are like half sphere shaped, and they stick on the back of frames, or pieces of furniture to keep them from scratching. They are rubber I think...or maybe silicone??
I can't wait to see yours Robin!!

I wish I could post a picture, but my digital camera died. Hey maybe I can sell enough of these to buy me a new one...oh how I wish.
The brick was 2.88 at Lowe's they were all the same price. It is a medium one the only difference between medium and large was the width. the medium was 8x8x3, the large was 8x8x4. I think the small was 6x4x3, but they were all 2.88.
I went to Walmart and the ribbon was 1.88 for 9 yards, it took the whole 9 yards. I used a 20 light set of clear white lights that were 94 cents.
Am I being too nosey to ask what you paid for it?
Thanks again for the idea, it surely is gorgeous!
