Can my Son draw?
My son is 17 and feels like he has no prospects.
He is working a job he hates.
He's dyslexic.
He didn't finish school.
He has always (for as long as I can remember) liked art.
But #1 his Dad told him you can't earn a living drawing.
And #2 he says he can't draw anyway.
My son doesn't want to do manual labour forever more and says he could never work in an office because of his dyslexia.
I suggested that he trained to be a tattoist.
He would like to work with the computer on eBay (!!!) or similar (although to date he has never owned a computer and doesn't know much about them)
Now he lives with me
~ I think if he could build a website (LOL at the moment but I'm working on it
) then he could sell his art.
But of course I forgot to take into account 'he can't draw'
So here I am asking you ~ What do you think?
Can he draw or is he rubbish?

He certainly has a lot more talent than I!
I would imagine that in the tattoo artist field he would appeal to a great number of folks! (I'm not sure what would be involved in doing a website)
Give him my best wishes
for whatever he chooses to do with his art!

He definitely has talent and nobody better ever call him rubbish or the Village Aunties may have to come across the pond and belt them! You tell him to never let someone tell him he "can't" do something or try to limit him. He is only limited by what he believes about himself!

Charles Schulz (sp?) creator of the "Peanuts" was told that he's never make a living at drawing..........

He has a lot of talent! If this is a typical drawing, his art wil appeal to a large group of people. I think he should continue and try with a website. Ebaymight be a good way to get some inital sales too.

Sure he can! Like his sense of color contrast, shading and I especially like the light sparkle of the horns. That guy has character!
Keep on drawing ~you've got "it"~*Darlene*~
