Exclamation WDT #5 - Crafts and you

This weeks discussion will be on crafts and you. We won't post links in these discussions, but will discuss our love of crafts.

I'll start with the first question: How do you find time for crafts

For me I make time. I do at least 30 minutes of crafts everyday, sometimes longer. I have learnt to cut out a number of pieces to a block, and when I get a few extra minutes, I sew them up. I also like to quilt late when everyone is sleeping.

    How about you?

Lately, I haven't, other than Darlene's pin which is just about finished. I do find however that when I address the creative energy inside of myself, I am a more happier person overall. I must make more time for me and my crafting.

Same here......Awhile back I realized I almost had to schedule a time for me to craft. It is worth every effort. The benefits are amazing. I feel refreshed and feel I have accomplished something for ME! Evenings are usually the best for me and sometimes in the morning when Dylan has started his schoolwork and doesn't need my help.

Not having children, my time is pretty much my own. I craft whenever I feel like it. My problem is, I'm obsessive, I will craft for hours and neglect everything else.

I also go in spurts-- but the best way for me , is to keep a project in the car. I'll work on it during my lunch break at work, while I wait for the kids at dance, while waiting at the doctor's office. . . .

It's very difficult for me to find the time to craft. The kids aren't the best sleepers and trying to be alert enough after 8pm to do crafts is not easy.

I've decided to take the time though. If it means taking classes outside of home, then I'm doing it.

I usually do it in the AM or afternoon while DD is sleeping.
