Question Are you afraid to try a new craft?

When I started quilting, I had a deep fear of trying it. I thought I would never get it right. It was the same with crocheting, because I had tried crocheting years ago and hadn't been able to get it.

I'm a bit better now than I use to be, but I still shy away from a craft that looks very complicated.

    How about you?

Yes, and not only from a fear that I may not be able to do it well, but I'm also afraid to try anything new because I have too many interests as it is and not enough time!

Most definately. Have my quilting stuff, still haven't even cut a piece of material.
    Other projects I start & don't finish.
I AM going to sew an apron if it kills me or it. Then I'll move on to quilting I hope.

I am so over zealous that it is sometimes a problem. I think I can do any craft and then discover after I have bought the needed items to do it that I am not as crafty as I thought I was and that can not do it or can not do it well. I think I need to learn my limitations, LOL.

Sure am-- I'm afraid of spending $$$ on the materials (fabric, paints, yarn) and then failing or losing interest.

OH YES! Right now I keep eyeing the crochet hook but I've got stuff I need to sew and knit first.

Nope, I love learning new crafts, I also am one who jumps into new crafts with both feet. I love creating things and learning new ways to do it.
