Are your kids naturally crafty or is it a struggle for them?
Ds#1 does well at the scrollsaw, but he doesn't enjoy crafts of any type. He would rather read.
Dd on the other hand is so crafty. She knows what she wants to do and does it. She picked up quilting very quickly and soon, I plan on working with her on sewing. She just has a gift for crafts.
I find it interesting that some kids just have the talent for doing crafts, when others struggle.
What about your kids?

None of mine have shown much interest in doing any type of crafts. DD did quilt with me when I first started but she lost interest and has not picked it up for quite some time. Both of my sons are quite talented in drawing but they do not draw much and when they were younger it was mostly music related things such as the logos for bands and singers.

DS (21) is not, or was never "crafty" ... he didn't even enjoy coloring or drawing as a child. He doesn't have a crafty bone in his body .. his long-time GF is an art major however. Guess they balance each other out! :-)
Although, to give him credit, he has many other wonderful strengths, talents and interests and did as a young child too. Music being the biggest.
OTOH, dd always was, and I believe always will be the crafty child ... which has been fun for me. She has always loved arts and crafts.
This is one area where the kids have taken after us (I love crafts and DH has no interest) ... otherwise, it's usually the other way around. DS is more like me and DD is more like my DH. Interesting.

Ryan is more creative than crafty though she does like to make things. They have to be something quick though, she has a major lack of patience.

Richard, the oldest, is very creative. He can build anything from imagination and scraps.
The other two of course, struggle.~*Michelle*~
