Question Does your dh/so have a craft he enjoys doing?

Do you encourage him to keep at it. Do you encourage him to try new crafts? Do you budget $$ for his craft or hobbies?

DH has taken up drawing. I bought him an art set and sketch book for Christmas. So far he won't let me see what he is up to.

He bought an $$$ book that gives some basic instruction. I tried to talk him into letting me get him a book from the library, but he wouldn't go for it.

Hobbies are kinda a different matter. He's into cars and surfing. Neither are cheap. At least the cars can be lucrative. He fixes up and resells VW Vanagon Campers.

Jack is just recently gotten back into drawing. He is very good but he thinks he needs more practice!

No we don't budget for his craft as this is the first time in 15 years he has even wanted anything. I just refrained from buying anything myself so there was the extra for him to do what he wanted.

You all know, it's not like I needed anything!

Gabe draws really well and I think he would be awesome at painting, but the time never seems to be there.

He did sketch a bit in charcoals when we were first married.

I know he'd be awesome at any type of wood craft, but we barely have basic tools here.

He's an awesome writer and I hope he someday takes the time to pursue that.

So for now no we don't budget his hobbies in.
