I have always wanted to make a dollhouse and collect miniatures. It's on my list of things to do. *LOL* Has anyone made one or had one made? I was surfing the AG minis website and dreaming.

I collect miniatures. I don't have a dollhouse though. I use a small jelly cupboard (a Christmas gift from my dm) with four shelves for my miniatures. The first shelf is the living room/dining room combo. The second shelf is the kitchen complete with a pot-bellie wood burning stove and hoosier-type cabinets. The third shelf is the master bedroom and nursery. The fourth shelf is the one-room school house complete with blackboard, school books, and wooden desks.
I found cardboard cut-outs to use for windows, french doors, pictures, etc. on the back of the cupboard rooms to add a dollhouse feel to it. I also have area rugs (from wallpaper books/cloth wallpaper pieces) and other assessories that really add lots of charm to the jelly cupboard.
Sophie,
What a great idea for miniatures. I am always wanting to collect them, so maybe I will start with something like that.
Do you shop anywhere specific for miniatures?

On a whim I bought a doll house with my Christmas money when I was 17. It is still at my dads house and it is still half way finished. I'm going to have my dh finish it for my dd in a couple of years.

That's such a sweet idea. I have always just dreamt about having a truly beautiful one with electricity even. I would love for it to be a replica of the house I grew up in. I want it as a focal point in my livingroom someday. *LOL* Hey, I have a lot of dreams. hehe
I used to see some miniatures at our Michaels in NY. I haven't walked into that store in awhile. Much too dangerous for me.

My son built me a doll house, from a kit, a few years back. I started buying kitchen items for it that looked like they were from the 1930's. It is in storage right now but, I intend to get it out and finish it one of these days.
