Picture Frame Tray
You need.......
A plain wooden picture frame (any size)
2 cabinet handles with screws
2 pieces of medium weight cardboard and 1 piece of glass to fit frame
Desired fabric
Glazier's points (available at craft and hardware stores)
A 1/8" thick sheet of cork the same size as the frame
Hot glue gun
Use the screws to attach the cabinet handles to opposite sides of the front of the frame.
Cut the fabric 1" larger on all sides than 1 piece of cardboard. Center the cardboard on the wrong side of the fabric. Pulling the fabric taut, glue the edges of the fabric to the top (wrong side) of the cardboard.
Insert the glass, fabric covered cardboard, and remaining cardboard piece into the frame. Use glazier's points to tightly secure the glass and cardboard in the frame.
Trim the cork to 1/8" smaller than the tray on all sides. Center and glue the cork to the bottom of the tray.
