What are you crafting for yourself that is saving you more money to make than buying it in the stores?

I'm currently making refillable sachets for our bedroom drawers using bulk potpourri, and shamrock print fabric that I bought on sale last month from a local craft store.

What are some of your money-saving craft projects, and ideas?

I'm making all our Christmas gifts. I've started on my second quilt and hope to be finished it by the end of July. I have enough material that I shouldn't have to purchase anymore. I'm using sheets for backing.

Nursing scrub outfits-- I buy sale fabric or get sheets at yard sales really cheap and sew my scrubs-- it's so simple and yet saves me so much money. Scrub tops can cost $15-30 and yet I can make them for less than $2.
