Ideas for a broken chair

One of the chairs to my kitchen table has broken. It was one of those chairs with the spindle backs. Well, the back came off and I now only have the seat and legs which are quite sturdy. Any ideas of what to do with it? I hate to throw anything out. I was thinking about making an ottoman. Any other suggestions?

end table, bedside table, plant stand, step stool.we rearranged our front room where our pc's are and after i sort through a bunch of papers and catalogs, the one i have next to my desk is going to be a printer stand. at some point i'd like to strip it and repaint it, but who knows when that will happen.
if you sew, they are good for letting someone stand on while you hem pants or skirts.
