Tomorrow is...
My first "Blankets for Babies" small group at church. I started it up myself (talk about scary!!) and tomorrow is the first day! I have made up six blankets to kick off the groups mission (To make blankets to donate to a local pregnancy and birth center). The plan is to have ladies make blankes is whatever manner they wish; sewn, crochet, knit, quilted, whatever.Wish me luck that there is a good turn out and that it all goes smoothly.
Later in the month I will be heading up a quilting group at church too. For whatever skill level from beginner to advanced. That will be fun. I am by no means a master, but I can share what i have learned from my Grammie. She has been a wonderful teacher to me. and i can't wait to pass on what she taught me.~~ Missy ~~

Don't give up, try again Missy. Maybe they just need another reminder. Things are kind of busy starting school & all. When the cooler weather comes they should come.

Dont give up. It is a worthwhile project to help others. I am sure as the fall progresses people will come. Maybe try and get some flyers or posters up for it! If you were in my area, I would sure come!

What a great idea Missy! Don't give up! I would post another reminder and have the preacher/pastor/minister announce it during his service.
