Talking Fun fall project for kids AND adults

    you'll need:

Copper or bronze (why not both??) polymer clay (the kind you bake) gold too if you like
brayer or perhaps a light rolling pin or dowel
fall leaves of many shapes and sizes
    tooth pick
    baking sheet lined with foil

roll out your clay to around 1/8 inch thick. Take the leaf, veiney side down and press it into the clay, use your brayer or rolling pin to lightly but firmly press your leaf into the clay. Carefully peel the leaf out of the clay, use the toothpick to get an edge to come up if it is stubborn. Use your tootpick to cut around the shape of the leaf. poke a hole in the clay leaf now if you plan on hanging it. Bake according to clay package directions...

here's some ideas for using them:
-add a magnet on the back for small ones, cute festive magnets for a fall fridge!

-glue to a simple napkin ring for a thanksgiving table setting

-attatch string and a suction cup. hang a bunch of these in your window to atumnal decorations

    - attatch strings to several and hang from a ribboned styrofoam ring. glue a few onto the ring and hang this as a wreath

    - make large ones...around 3-4 inches and write names of guests on them for place settings

    - attatch small ones to a plain picture frame to dress it up

you only have to look around and you can come up with hundreds of ideas!!
