Default I saw a cute autumn craft yesterday.

And a very simple one. You could even recycle a little!

You collect some interesting-shaped leaves- maple or oak, for example.

Then take a piece of window screening (this is where you could recycle- we replaced out sliding door screen and for some reason I kept the old screen "in case") and spray paint it gold or bronze.

Lay the leaf on under the screen and using a bronze or gold (opposite of what you used on the screen) dimensional paint with a fine tip, outline the leaf and veins on the screen. Cut the leaf out and trim the edges neatly.

These can be used on a window or can be scattered around a pumpkin for a quick centerpiece.

I don't have a picture to share since I saw this in a book, but if I make one, I will take a pic and show everyone. (Won't be today though, since I am not goin out in the wind and rain to collect leaves!)

Indeed it was, Sara. The book I found it in was not a BH&G book, but that is the same project.

I just thought they looked so lovely and delicate. Thanks for finding a picture so people have an idea what I was trying to describe.
