If you have a sister or co-worker or friend that you speak with or email a lot, consider this for a special baby-shower or wedding-shower gift:

Buy an attractive journal and a matching pen. Whenever your friend says something positive about the upcoming event (baby-shower, marriage, purchase of a home, etc.) remember it and write it down in the journal. Then, on the day of the big event, give your gift of a journal of things this person might not even have remembered saying to you! I am starting one today for my dear friend who just found out that she is pregnant with her first baby.
