What are your favorite hobbies?
I know that if you look at profiles you see everyones hobby but what are your most favorite? I would say mine is growing plants of any type. I live in a townhouse now and can't have a real garden but I intend to have a ton of planters on my decks. Secondly would have to be putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Quilting is my passion and a very close second is scrapbooking. I've just started scrapbooking. I don't do any other crafts at this time.

Lately, I've been absorbed with knitting, especially socks.
I HAD saved up a bunch of allowance before this passion hit. But now, it's dwindling fast! I was thrilled to score some top-quality yarn .... enough for 2 pair of kids' socks ... for a mere $20!
And I just spent $10 of my allowance on ONE circular needle.
AND I WANT MORE! Yes, the straight jacket is on its way.
My other hobby/additiction is reading. I just don't get to sleep unless I can read for 15 minutes first.2012 Knitting in progress

Mine would have to be reading. I read so much I don't even think of it as a hobby. So I guess my 'smiling pleasure' hobby is watching old movies from the 40's.

noodling around here getting little else done
but seriously, I like to sew, knit, read, garden and cook and clean but not necessarily in that order. Oh and I enjoy teaching Bible study on Tuesday mornings.
I really miss my dogs (old age claimed the last a year and a bit ago) and once I make my trip to the Yukon to see my dad with my sister and brother in law this summer I'm going to look into finding a canine fur person in need of a home.
There are some breed specific rescue groups, that adopt out that breed to people who understand them.
I'd be thinking another Samoyed or another Border Collie or a cross of those breeds.

My favouite hobby is penpalling, I have about 30 penpals from over the world and within Australia.
My biggest one the one I do most is reading, at the moment I'm reading through the top 100 booklist the library put out...so that's keeping me busy and it's also pushing me to readgenres I would not normally read.
I love my garden too and I'm collecting roses, I have 20 bushes so far!

I think my favourite hobby is learning. I will move from one thing to the next until I feel I've mastered it, then something else will get my attention. I still love and enjoy the things I've learned to do, but am at my most rapt when I'm in the middle of learning something new. Right now, it is knitting. I've moved beyond the scarves and socks, and am trying to learn how to make a sweater. Prior to knitting, it was spinning fleece. Prior to that, jewelry-making. I still do all three, but it is the knitting that I'll go to first.
