Default Which crafty items are actually in demand?

What is there actually a market for? Quilts? Soaps? What have you been successful at making and selling?

Well, I haven't sold it myself, but I have two friends who do okay with jewelry.

I had really great luck with knited scarves last year. Sold them in an upscale Beauty Shop that was owned by a friend.

I would think baby quilts and blankets would always be in demand.

i find that little things and something that doesnt take too much time to spend on. e.g. thread dolls with ribbon around her waste and beads for halo, and mini floweres in hand; scarfs like peace said, baby blankets, flower arrangments and wraeths with just enough items on them

My sister loves hand knitted washcloths. That's all she will use now in the kitchen but she can't focus well enough to make them herself. She pays $2 each for them.

Things for pets (clothing or toys handmade) I think might be profitable for someone selling to upscale people over the internet or ebay, perhaps.

I think hand sewn halloween costumes should make some good money, too. My sister-in-law used to pick out costume patterns, material and whatever else was needed to sew them and pay a neighbor to do all the sewing.
