Exclamation I'll never get it right!!!!

I tried making a cute crocheted hat, and I can't get it to come out right!!!!! I've never made hats before. I'll never get them done before the end of July!!!!! Just letting off some steam before bed!

    Hey Julie,
It took me a few tries to get a cap right. Is there a yarn shop near by you can go to for help? Many times I have had to go to someone else to ask what I did wrong. Hang in there.

I am having the same problem with a filet pattern. I have worked and reworked it so many times it could be finished. It still isn't right but I'm going with it because it's not that noticable but if I ever do this same pattern again I'll know for sure what to do.

deep breaths and put it away for a day or two then go back to it. work on something else in teh meantime, or nothing at all. sometimes taking a break is all you need to get something right. it forces you to let go of whatever it is that isn't making sense and you can go back to it with fresh eyes and hands. i have had to do that on a number of occations myself.

You can do it! Just don't give up! Try, try, and try again and you will get it.

You are doing better than me because I don't know the first thing about crocheting.
