Default Has anyone made homemade Gel candles?
Do you find them easy to make? Were you happy with the results? I went overboard and bought over $160.00 worth of products mostly scents,colors,jars among other craft items to keep me busy during the winter months.. After ordering it yesterday I went to bed last night thinking OMG what if I ordered all that and don't know what I'm doing and wasting all that money..

~No, I haven't made gel candles, just regular wax candles. There are alot of tutorials online. Michaels craft store has project instructions online. Are you planning on giving these as gifts?~

I've made them, you need to be VERY careful when heating the gel, it can catch on fire very easily.

Candletech.com has over 5000 members and a gel section too.

I am doing ez soy in containers right now myself. Not sure about gel candles and how they work.

Gel candles are a lot of fun to make, very pretty to give as gifts as well. The fragrance oils that you bought make sure they are non-polar and flash point of 170 F or higher.
