Default Frugal Christmas gifts to make..More added...

dd & I have done these in the past, they make great gifts for anyone but we like them for Teachers.... My Sister is a Teacher and although she loves each and every gift, just how many apples things can one person have..............

    Bag of candy....
We used our computer and Print master gold....
We made candy wrappers for those little Hershey bars, we had to play with the size a bit til we got it right and saved a templet on the program, for Teachers we put different quotes about Teacher's and Children, cut them out, (we used our paper cutter) fold it over the exsisiting wrapper(so they can tell what kind of candy it is) and used a bit of glue stick to secure it (print on colored paper for a colorful effect).... These will also make great wedding gifts, use Love quotes, gift for kids, put riddles or jokes, friends and family, use quotes from their favorite authors or poets, Baby showers, use baby quotes, the quotes and poems can easily be found in books or on the internet. Tie them up in a cello bag or put in a nice jar or candy dish.... I use about 20 to 25 for each gift and get 2 gifts out of each bag of candy.... The large bars can also be used, just one personized bar makes a thoughtful gift and for about 40 cents...These make good party or wedding favors too....

    Here's another.....
Use Sundae dishes or any dish you that would make you think of ice cream sundaes or floats.... Dishes, bowls or mugs work well.. I find them at yard sales & thrift stores. Fill them with candy, cut out a piece of clear plastic (like from a coffee can lid) to fit the top of your dish. (Turn the item upside down and trace it) Use clear tape to secure the clear plastic lid, put it around the jar lid so that 1/2 hangs over and you can push it down to secure (like those tamper proof lid wrappers) Curl Lots of white curling ribbon and tie into a ball, (I buy a very big roll at Michael's for $1.50 and it does about 25 of these) Hot glue the ball of curled ribbon on top of the clear lid. Use a red pom pom to simulate the cherry, hot glue it on. Now if it is a mug (looks like a float) hot glue in a colored straw (cut it a bit shorter to scale ) if it is a dish sundae, hot glue into the ribbons a plastic spoon, I like to use the colored ones I buy in the party section. Now you have a unique gift.... Rootbeer barrel candy works well in the rootbeer mugs, but any candy. wrapped or unwrapped will do (I like to use wrapped candy ) Look for bargains on candy after Halloween. I buy a ton of it for these jars....

    Yet another......
Use the same kind of glassware, (Sundae bowls, rootbeer mugs, ect), fill with bath salts (Use HM bathsalts for a more frugal and personal gift) but instead if the plastic lid, put a white bath scrubby on top for the whipped cream, (You can make these too from white toole) place the red pom pom on top and shrink wrap it. You can make different colored bathsalts and layer them in if you like...

I do the mini candy bars with stickers from Print Shop and throw them to my staff during staff meetings to reward them for good ideas and participation.
