I have never seen this before Mommy2two. I'm so excited. Now I know how to make a gift for someone I know. She will love it!

This is really cute and looks so warm! But I couldn't sew anything to save my life and I've got a question...just don't mind the ignorance.
What does it mean by use an overhand?? And it says something about removing a 5" square on the corners???
I'd really like to make this but I know absolutely nothing about making anything!!!
Thanks for the help!

kcjulesus,
I think over hand might refer to the kind of knot but I never realy paid attention and just made knots.
When you cut the fringe 5" in on say the bottom and then on the right side a 5" square will come out, so don't worry that will happen. And then again on all the other corners.
Clearer?

thanks kimmomo3 for explaining. i thought these looked easy too. if you can afford the fleece.
it usually runs between $7.96-$9.96 a yard. my mom made one for my daughter, but she only used one layer. she just cut and tied on the top and bottom of the blanket. it is still soooo cute, and madison loves it. (sometimes you can find clearance fleece too) good luck all....

Thanks kimmomo3! Don't I feel silly. I just didn't even thing about the square coming out once you cut into it!! And as far as the knot thats all I would've done too....just tied it, but thought I'd better ask...better safe then sorry!
Thanks again!
