A Month of Angels
I got to thinking about my original post about angel crafts and decided to make angels during the month of December. I have not set goals or quotas for the number or type of angels. My purpose for doing this is to have a relaxing activity that will help me center and reflect on the spiritual significance of the season.
I will post photos of projects on my website as soon as they are finished. I plan to make quite a few and thought it would be easier to have them on my website than trying to post them all individually here.

Anyone want to join me in creating a month of angels?

Doesn't anyone want to join me in making a month of angel crafts?
You get to choose your own projects and how many projects you do. You don't have to make something everyday. You can even choose easy projects. I started out with a paper angel chain -- can't get much easier than that. I also cheated a bit by sneaking in a project I had already started - but I did finish it in December.
This would be a good thing to get the kids involved in.
Come on, I'm going to need encouragement to keep going as the month progresses.

I want to make the kittie angel. Do you have a template/pattern?

That's one I dug out of my old craft files. I think it came from a magazine, but not sure which one.

Angel Update
Today is Dec. 15 -- I'm going to say I'm halfway through the month.
So far I have 16 angel project on my website, 1 more completed and 1 more in the works. I have filled one page on my website and when I add more will have to start another page.
These are some general ideas I have for projects I would like to make before the month is over.
A pop bottle angel -- have the bottle, don't havestyrofoam ball for the head.
Something beaded
Something to wear in my long hair
A doll
Something wearable -- scarf, vest, jacket, sweatshirt...
A tote bag
An original project -- something a little more abstract
Some of these will be larger projects so I may not continue to average one project a day -- but that's okay I really haven't set any quotas.
I have loved making angels -- may not stop in January. I'm not sure yet.

I know I've still got two weeks left in December, but I'm going to start winding down the month of angels projects. Had problems with my website, so had to do some rearranging to keep this down to one page. There's still room for more projects and I will make angels when I can between now and the 1st. But I've had a lot of problems with geocities over the years and will be closing the personal website shortly after January 1. I will keep my professional art site going at bravehost, but won't have a personal site anymore.
I've made it through the worst of the holiday season and work beckons. Received a notice of an art show with a short entry deadline and I don't think I have anything ready to go... so it's back to work.
I am going to continue the angels when I need inspiration or busy work between art projects.
I still have one angel in the works and 4 or 5 ideas so a few more photos will be popping up before the end of the year.

I actually got three angels finished this week -- a totebag and a couple of "cheater projects" a pin and a table runner. Okay so I had a couple of angel motif fabrics on hand.
Some of my angels are starting to fly away to watch over other people so I guess I need to keep making them so we are always surrounded by angels.

I went ahead and took the angels off the website today. I know I said the
1st, but there hasn't really been much interest and I needed to go ahead and get most of that stuff off the site to get ready to close it down.
