Exclamation 95 Days to Christmas and counting

Oh my those days are flying by like crazy. How are your Christmas crafts coming along?

    - have more pj's cut out and ready to sew
    - finished the scrappy Log cabin quilt
    - painted more angels for our craft sales
    - stained a couple of clocks today
    - made 12 small jars of jams for gift baskets (just need to get the baskets now)

Still need to make a couple of quilts, paint more craft items, and stain more items. Also need to get a couple of aprons finished and get make a few more things for the gift baskets.

How are your projects coming along?

I haven't made one thing for Christmas yet. I am hoping to be able to buy some material for pjs' for son, he wants scoobydoo. Also want to make rice heating pads for our parents.

Need to come up with more homemade gifts for the children.

Homestead Mamma....can I come live with you?? You inspire me! I want to learn to quilt. I have a friend that quilts. She tries to tell me it is easy. And my mom quilts, but she lives to far away. I just haven't taken it up yet. I tell DH I want to make a quilt and he says "go ahead".

I do plan on making some gifts in a jar closer to Christmas.
I also want to make the rice bags.

What are rice heating pads, Kindred-Spirit?

I am planning on doing gift-in-a-jar gift baskets for all of our family this year. Don't know what else yet.

You put rice in a tube made of muslin, that you heat in microwave for sore necks etc..OR store in freezer instead of using ice. Have a cover made of any material, I want to use fleece, put velcor on the ends to close.

There is an actual saying you attach with directions somewhere on the web.

CJ where do you find the time for all you do? Do you get more than 3 hrs of sleep per night?

I haven't started my Christmas crafts yet--mostly because I have been so busy. I need to get a list together and figure out what I'm making for everyone.

Michelle, I'm a night owl and love getting things done in 10-15 minute intervals. I find I can do so much more that way. In between those breaks, I come to the computer or just take some quiet time.

Another thing I found is that I have everything cut out before hand. When I paint for our crafts, dh cuts me 500 angels. I then take and paint as many as I can in a specific amount of time. I do the same with sewing or quilting. I don't cut a bit, sew a bit, cut a bit. I find that frustrating and it slows me down.

Nooooooooooooooooo, there can't be less than 100 days until Christmas - WOW!

I have made 11 sequined ornaments and 4 potpourri ornaments so far. I've got all the supplies I need to make the rest (13 more sequined ones and 8 more potpourri ones).

    Captclearance - rofl

Kahana - I'm with you I can't believe how quickly Christmas is coming up.

Yesterday I painted 5 angels and 4 Christmas tree ornaments. Will also do some painting this afternoon after school and tonight I'm sewing pj's.

Now ladies, just try the 15 minute thing. You'll be surprised how much you can get done. Once you get started on the 15 minute plan, you'll seldom go wrong and you'll soon find yourself thinking that way all the time.

See I told you it worked. It soon will become old habit and you'll be amazed at what you can get done in 15 min. intervals.
