Anyone do wire/bead jewelry?

Ok, I am wanting to try this. It's been on my list for the longest time. I am wondering if we have any beaders here that might point me in the right direction.
I saw one good book on amazon, but am looking for any tips on where to start.

I bought the wire,end clasps,and some beads at Wal-Mart.
You can search on ebay and find some really cool looking beads!
The glass beads are way kewl so are what they call Lampwork beads,but they're expensive.Or the ones I've wanted are lol

I've never bought a book.Just kind do my own thing

I've only made bracelets and earrings.

I didn't offer much help did I lol

i did the same thing i have only made bracelets. i bought the wire beads and clasps at walmart and just started in. i do enjoy it a lot. walmart here just started having glass beads i used to get them at hobby lobby but they are more expensive there. i found a lot of instruction on the web. all of my teenage and preteen neices are getting bracelets and necklaces for xmas this year.

I buy a lot of old glass beads at yard sales, I can often pick up very old necklaces for pennies.... I'll look for some site that offer tips or patterns
