    Question Father's Day Plans???

I don't have anything planned, except for a nice homecooked meal for Mike.
I'm thinking of a pot roast, with potatoes, carrots & onions, of course.
Sauteed green beans along with some cornbread & some kind of ooey gooey dessert!

He's more happy sitting at home watching the Nascar race than anything else, so that's what we'll be doing.

So, what will you be doing on Father's Day?

We're going to my fil's, but I don't know what we'll be doing. It's supposed to rain, so our planned bike ride may not happen.

I am planning to make a big pan of lasagna for Fathers Day. It is my Dad's favorite meal. I am not sure what type of dessert that I will make yet. It will probably be some sort of cheesecake. We will probably just plan on hanging around his house and relaxing.

Renewed my husbands sportsmans club membership. Had let it lapse this year as he is traveling alot and of course MONEY. Got him a box of Saunders choc. (on clearance as Kroger thins stock).I know he will love that. I also bought him 9 "Bathroom companion" books as a joke. They are filled w/ weird trivia and were $1.00 each at a Garage sale. I usually grill a favorite dinner and make a dessert like key lime pie or cherry pie his favorite. We may go to the park if it's nice and he feels like it.King for a Day.!!

My dad is harder. He's doesn't wants material things and really has no hobbies. I usually bake or make him dinner. He's not crazy about eating out and doesn't like to read anymore. I wish I could get them cable or a cell phone but they won't let me. My brother used to go to the ballgame w/ him but thats too much for him now too.

My Dad was the same way. I think once they reach a certain age, their priorities change dramatically.

This will be my first year without my Dad, unfortunately, I'm sure it will be so bittersweet for all of us.

    Michelle,

I lost my father in 1987, but still miss him. I find myself thinking, often, "Wow, I wish Dad were around to see this."

This Father's Day, I have actually managed to get my sister, who has never visited my father's grave, to agree to join me and my mother in visiting him. So it will be a very sad and emotional day, I am sure, but also a day that will be very special to us all. I am going to pack a small picnic lunch for everyone and hope for the best.

I am making my dad a chipboard scrapbook album that says (FAMILY).
My dad is actually taking my family and my newly married daughter out to eat tomorrow...we will celebrate FD and my bd which is coming up on Tues. he wanted my dh to be able to join us. Dh works a weird shift so we are celebrating FD and bd together.

I took all the photos of the ones I made when I had all my kids together 2 weeks ago and shrunk them...then they will fit on the chipboard album....
