College graduation gifts
My sons girlfriend of 2+ years will be graduating college in a couple weeks with a business degree. I want to get her something special & personal and not the standard money, clock or pen deal. She doesn't have a job lined up so I can't give you any info about that. Any ideas? Thank you!

What about a charm bracelet?
They have some affordable (and not so affordable lol) beautiful charm bracelets and charms at Pandora.net.

A good, down-to-earth book on money management.

A necklace, gold hoops, pearls, an anklet, I know you prefer not to give money, but she could always use gas, phone cards & a card to a nice clothing store for buying a suit-for interviews. (practical me)

I like this idea......would go for the gas card if anything, unless you know where she shops for clothes.
She will be looking for a job....and can always use the gas card, but this might not be 'personal' enough. Put something else with it that is personal....?homemade?---if you know her likes and dislikes.

My vote...something small, not necessarily related to her schooling choice but more about her...things she's into in general so its personal. What would you like to receive? What would you like to give your daughter in this type of situation?
I like that idea...a book on how to plan your future financially but I don't know if she'd take offense to that? Or a book on frugality or how to live life after college? A chicken soup for the ____ type book?
What about getting her a medium sized agenda/planner? Could be grown up colours brown/black or a fun pattern if she's into that?
OR take her out to celebrate with your family or invite her over to dinner and make her faves? Make it about her...she's the reason why you're gathering to celebrate

If at all possible, I would check with her parents to see wht they are getting her so you can avoid potentially stepping on their toes.
I think every woman should have a nice set of pearls--the necklace and the earrings. They help class up a suit during an interview.
I did check out a fun money management book from the library yesterday called Shoo, Jimmy Choo. It's supposed to be financial advice geared towards the 'modern woman'. Interesting concept and kind of a fun read.McD
