Need ideas for DD's Victorian Tea Party Birthday!!
Delaney will be 6 on Sunday, we are not having her party with friends until the end of the month though...we have finally decided on having a tea party. I am going to have the little guests dress up, I will set the table in lace, tea cups, flowers etc and am trying to find a tea pot cake....was wondering if you had any ideas for crafts, party food and favours.
I was thinking of having the girls make a fancy, flowery hat...I have a bunch of large straw hats (plain) but am not sure!
Any ideas will be appreciated, I am writing my list as I think of things.
Have you read the book "Frugal Luxuries" by Tracy McBride? I'm not sure if it was in her first book, or her second "Frugal Luxuries through the Seasons" that she talks about how she threw a Victorian Birthday party for one of her daughters and gives instructions on how to make a teapot cake. The party sounded lovely!!!!
You could have them plant seeds in small containers. That would be a fun little take home gift. Cupcake decorating would be fun for them too. The hat idea is sweet.
edited to add that dress up would be fun if you have some fun clothes for the girls to play dress up with. You could take pictures and send them the pictures later.
