Do you know what she's into Chelle?

Only my first thought was 'oh that's easy' but my 2 youngest girls both hate pink and hate barbie and the youngest (now 3 1/2) has just told me for Christmas she wants socks (she hardly ever wears them!) a drum set (like yeah right - NOT! lol) and a helicoptor!!!!

What is wrong with my kids? ROFL.

So the point is - it isn't that easy to just assume LOL

No, Bev, unfortunately I don't really know much of what she likes. She's also a child that seems to have EVERYTHING.

I'm thinking of going with some kind of arts & crafts type thing I think.

Socks for Christmas? That is cute and funny

I like the arts and crafts idea. Wal-Mart sells some good kits in the craft department.

Those plastic, play high heels and a boa from Wally World! If I were a 4 yr. old girl I'd want those (but then it's been a very long time since I was a 4 yr. old girl....I still want em!)

hmmm I think I'd go with the crafts idea you had - All kids enjoy destroying the carpet and furniture so you should be safe with that.

Not sure the mother will ever speak to you again but you can always tell her it was MUCH better than a drum set! LOL

Michelle, if she has everything, maybe you can buy a really nice puzzle? Some kids' specialized stores, where they sell toys more expensively, also sell very original puzzles. I find my boys have always loved puzzles, even though, when they unwrap it, it doesn't seem their favorite gift....it's later, on another day, when they do it, it keeps them busy for a while...

Good luck on your gift search Michelle!

Arts and Crafts would be my vote! I have yet to see a kid who was not thrilled with getting all kinds of colored paper, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, markers, paint, glue, glitter, etc. Even my teenagers still enjoy these kinds of gifts!

I think all little girls like princess and fairy tales, I have seen some really great interactive books lately that feature the Disney Princesses. My kids all loved the interactive books of all types when they were small. My vote is always books as gifts, LOL. I love to read and I try to encourage it whenever I get a chance.

How about a tote bag (small kid sized one perhaps) painted with her name on it...filled with little things like a small puzzle (check the packaging for her age range), a book, a craft kit, a coloring book and crayons, and stickers?

LOL...I am thinking of the things i'd like for the kids..."quiet time" stuff!! LOL

*Update* I bought a 200 piece Rose Art arts & crafts set for $9.99 at Target. It comes in a little suitcase-type case and has markers, stickers, paints, etc.

Thanks for all the tips ladies

I think the crafts case was a great gift idea for a child. I also saw where shrinky dinks are back, oh how I loved doing those!
