    sara,
you take a clear glass ornament (the size of and orange), cut the picture to size (i used pinking(sp) shears), then culr it up so it will fit through the hole in top of the ornament. once it is in the ornament, adjust with a pencil or paint brush handle so the picture is facing out and right side up. then use the same handle or pencil to stuff that crinkly shredded colored paper in behind the picture. (the stuff you use for baskets) i put in a lot, so it would hold the picture up. after it is all in, you can still put your handle in and adjust the picture if you need to. then put the hanger back on and decorate with ribbons or bows, etc. i used a gold metallic paint pen to write the date on the back (bought at walmart). the clear ornaments my mil got at hobby lobby.
i hope you understand my instructions. i think i am going to try to make one with all their pictures in the same ornament for my mom for christmas. i will let you all know if it turns out.

    Oh Misty, they are wonderful..

Wouldn't it be neat to make one each year, save them and give them to each child when they left home. What a treasured memory you've made.

Your kiddos are adorable & those ornaments are just cute, cute, cute!! Love 'em!! Think I might have to try them myself!! Can you send me pictures of your kids or am I obligated to use my own kids?!
