    Thank you all so much! I can't tell you how much it means to me to have your thoughts and good wishes.

    As you all know, I'm a day ahead so it all happened for me yesterday. My day went like this. DH complained that I hadn't yet ordered the books that he's buying for me. I asked for your suggestions a couple of weeks ago but I haven't yet decided which ones I want. So because he didn't have a true gift, he gave me one of the big pink tea mugs we have in the shop now. I admired them when they came in and hinted that I'd like one. He made me breakfast and we both ate our brekky out on the front verandah. It was lovely. DH offered to work at the store for me but I said no because he needs his rest so I spent the day up at the shop. The lady in the next shop - the Candy Maker - had her birthday yesterday too so that was good. I had an extremely busy day and made 3 times what we normally do! It's school holidays here and lots of families are around. Aroung 3 pm my two sons came in and surprised me with some gifts - Shane gave me a beautiful blue and white spode plate that says: "Gardening grows the spirit" and a DVD of the first ever series of Northern Exposure (may favourite TV show of all time); Kerry gave me Nigella Lawson's Domestic Goddess book, a wonderful vegetarian cookbook and a bottle of pink grapefruit softdrink - my favourite drink - it was cold, so I guzzled it straight down. during the day I had several calls from friends wishing me a happy day.

    When I went home there was a beautiful bunch of mauve, purple and white orchids and ferns wrapped in lotus leaves waiting for me. They were from my sister - she's a florist. We all got ready and had dinner at the surf club with the sound of waves crashing in the background. It was lovely.

    I was going to log on here last night but I didn't have time, so to come here now and find all your messages is really special. I love each and every one of you for thinking of me and hugs to you all.

    BTW, yesterday was also the anniversary of the day I met DH. We met on my 28th birthday and I have know him now for 28 years! half my life.
