Family Reunions?

We are going to my family reunion this weekend up in Virginia. I have gone every year except one. Its great to get together with my grannys side of the family. They have it in the town I grew up in so we will be spending the night at mom and dads and then going to the reunion the next day. We have a big picnic and they play music....its always a good time. I look forward to it every year and this will be Ben's first year going!!

Do you have and attend your family reunions? Are they close to where you live now?

No family reunions in this family.
Just want to wish you a wonderful time, especially showing off your growing- up- so fast little Ben.

Nope, we can't all ever seem to get together at the same time and travel is a biggie for us. This Christmas we are having 3 of us kids and our families join my parents at their place in Montana, but my sister and nephew will not be coming (they live in Tahiti).

Its in Lebanon, Virginia Carolyn....that is where i grew up (and wish I was living now) I love the country....my sister now lives in Dufield VA....its pretty close to the Kentucky line. We live right in the middle of the city...its not to bad...I guess but I love the country and the small town. Even though I go up as often as I can, I miss being really close to my parents and life long friends.

ROFL-- I hardly ever attend our family reunions, on my dad's side. They have one every year, about 7 miles from my house, and only 1/2 mile from my parent's house. Some evil

3rd cousin- twice removed, happend to mention the reunion within hearing of my dd last year. So. . . . we HAD to attend.

The minute we walked in the door, someone shouted to hold the roof up-- it must be caving in as Denise is here! We determined that I had been to ONE other reunion since I got married 23 years ago.
We had a great time though, and dd was amazed at the number of people she was related to, I kept having to remind her that very few actually came to the reunion.

Mom's side doesn't have reunions- although I managed to get nearly 50 of them together at my house on the 4th of July this year!
