Village Fat Tuesday Cyber party...Come one Come all...

Today is Fat Tuesday and as tradition has it...the day to eat, drink and be merry. I think a big old cyber Fat Tuesday party is called for today. So since we will be keeping this a family party we won't be meeting on Bourban Street but on Lemonade Lane and we will be picnicing and visiting. I will be bringing fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans and of course a huge jug of sweet lemonade. I have brought all the lawn chairs and have them all set up on the Village square and I can just hear the band warming up in the bandstand and the children are all having a great time riding their bicycles and tricycles around the sidewalks. I think I see CJ coming up the lane with her hot delicious fresh baked cinnamon rolls and look flying in..it is my crime fighting partner Darlene. Debbie, I see you coming around the corner and it looks like one of your new drivers are chauffering you to our party. Come on everyone...meet us here at Lemonade Lane and tell us what you are bringing... I smell a bbq grill somewhere...yummy....

I'm on my way. Yes Kathy I'm bringing cinnamon buns along with fresh baked buns and my dancing shoes. We have reason to celebrate here at the village. We will soon have 4,000 members and counting.

I see Heather (calico) coming too. She has her dancing shoes, she is the one who loves to dance.

Oh here come Rhonda, she is bringing a couple chickens and whats that in her hand - embroidery. Bet she is going to get us ladies helping her.

There's Kim and she is bringing shells to share. Isn't her little guy cute.

Who else is coming?

I'm on my way. Yep that's me dragging in the old red wagon full of ice and cold sodas. I've got lots of frisbees and balls for everyone to toss around and I've got all kinds of salsa and chips to munch on. Sure is nice to share this day with you guys.

I made a batch of Rice Krispie Treats as well as blonde brownies

I'll be there as soon as I leave work for the evening

I may even share the rice krispie treats and brownies with you all...lol

I coming with a load of king cakes for everyone. Ds who is wearing his 10 lbs of mardi gras beads, brought his bike to ride and I brought my knitting. Maybe someone could help me get untangled.lol. I brought my Kenny Chesney cd too.

I am on my way too...I have some birthday cake and homemade ice cream for eveyone

I also brought along some logs to thow on the bonfire and plenty of Mardi Gras bead for eveyone!!

I've never heard of this fat tuesday thing. Does it happen every year? If so, it sounds like a great thing. I'm all for friends getting together and celebrating life. YAY!! I have some raspberry and chocolate pavolva to share!
