Burning up a storm

I am so busy surfing and burning!

Danielle is giving away the soundtrack to her wedding in the form of a cd. I am so proud of myself that I have dont this at a fraction of the cost!

The people she talked to about making the cds said tht they would charge 1.00 per cd and that she would have to furnish all the music. So...

I accepted AOL's free one-month musicnet@aol and down loaded 17 songs. They are free to download, but cost 99 cents each to burn to a cd, so the entire master copy cost me about 17.00. Then I went to Office Max and they had a 100 pack of CDs for 19.99. How to package them you ask? Well, my son works at a big copy place and I bought 100 card sized envelopes (very cheap because the manager knows that I am on a tight budget) They are running off stickers to put on the front of each envelope for free! The labels will have a little thank you poem that we found on a wedding site, we will just affix it to the front. Then I am going to punch two small holes in the top of the sealed envelope and tie a purple bow. I bought the ribbon last week at Michael's for 22 cents a spool!!!

Not having to buy jewel cases and saving on the 1.00 per raw cd has saved probably well over 100.00!

WTG Robin!! Thanks for sharing your frugal wedding idea. I have a BIL that is getting married in June and they are on a really tight budget as well. I have been trying to come up with ideas for them. (This is DH's brother).
