Dh's retirement party is that weekend (July 2nd). We're having a BBQ with friends & family. We will be celebrating his retirement from the Army after nearly 24yrs of active duty service

On the actual day, we will probably go to the Symphony in the Park, where they have the symphony playing and a fireworks show. It's just up the street from our house.

We'll go to see the fireworks as usual. Probably cookout on grill and play with the kids during the day.

We are having a cookout around 3 p.m. at my house followed by fireworks at the park.

Dh is on call and the kids will be gone so dh and I will just hang out at the neighbors cook-out for awhile. One of our dogs is terrified of thunder, fireworks, etc., so I will most likely spend my evening on the couch with as much of her big body on my lap as she can squeeze in.
