How do you celebrate your B-Day?
Do you go all out, cake and ice cream w/family, or nothing at all?
Dh b-day is next week, we normally don't do much but have cake and ice cream here at the house!!
Also, any ideas on something creative to do for him?

Most times, we don't do anything for my birthday--- occasionally he'll remember to get me a card, and sometimes my sister will bake me a cake--- otherwise, it's just another day.

Our (dh and I) birthdays are nothing spectacular. No cake. Sometimes a present. Last year dh took me out to dinner.

Always a cake and ice cream or an ice creme cake. Sometimes dinner out or a movie. Always a gift of some kind. We used to have all the family over for dinner and cake but have not done that for the last year or two. DH is good about remembering birthdays, anniversarys and holidays. I am not so good about it!

My birthday is just another day. However, the weekend after, we usually go to my parents for dinner and cake. My Mom would freak out if I decided to skip it. (I'm an only child)

I look at my usual four birthday cards and think gee what would I do if Iwasn't so popular
Dh usually tries to make it special for me, we may go out if it falls on a weekend but if not we won't.
I try to just make sure the housework is up to date enough for me to just put me feet up and have a cuppa and read me book

Nothing special for my birthday we go out to eat or order in and dh get me a present.
For dh, I get him a present, dinner out and I bake a cake or get him a cookie from The Cookie Company.
Before ds was born, I always went "out" to celebrate my birthday at a club or restaurant bar.

We go all out for birthdays. We have a cake, special dinner, gifts, balloons or flowers, the whole nine yards. We make special breakfasts too, like waffles or whatever the birthday celebrant wants.

It's always the choice for the birthday person here. When the dk's were at home we'd do their fav. meal, have a cake with family and gifts. With me and Gripey we choose whether we want to go out, usually I don't have a cake but I usually make Gripey's fav (cherry cheese cake). We sometimes do gifts or decide beforehand that we want to do such and such for our birthdays..... .

Joes is next week. We are going out for dinner and I will make him a yellow cake with chocolate frosting.....his favorite.

Dh b-day is this sunday and I am clueless as to what to get him. I think I am going to buy the cake, just because I am feeling lazy! As for a gift, he says he doesn't need anything but my love......he is the sweetest man. I have never not gotten him something. This is the first year I didn't already have something in mind. I have saved some money that I got from selling dishcloths and a few other things and I know tonight when my ds and I go to the store I am going to wander around aimlessly. Crossing my fingers that before he goes to work maybe, just maybe he will mention something he needs or just plain wants!!
