    Default need ideas again

ok first crisis--- Deana wants to get the preacher's son something for Valentine's Day. . . he's been a real help after the fiasco with Jerry, and they are becoming quite the item at school, church, etc. However-- they've only really been "seeing" each other for a week. What in the world does she get him? She made a photo card yesterday for him- with her making silly faces. . . but she wants a small gift to give him as well. (time is a concern obviously).

Next crisis- my best friend called me this week and announced she getting married again! What can I get/make for them that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg, but doesn't look cheap either ? Second marriage for each of them-- combining houses, etc. She's Pentacostal, so no movies, TV, drinking- etc.

The homemade cookies was what I was going to suggest for the preacher's son as well.

    The best friend's wedding ...hhhmmmm
I'm liking the idea of the tea towels and might even carry the idea to a set of tea towels, pot holders and dishrags. I mean you love your friend, she knows it. You just need to do "something" and she will appreciate whatever you do. They are combining 2 households and probably don't really need that much.

Yep I vote homemade cookies too.

How about a basket for your friend? A candle, linen napkins, sparkling cider and maybe the fixings for a spaghetti dinner? Something like that I bet would be appreciated.

Here's what Deana did (she thought of this all on her own-- smart alec little thing)

She scrounged in my pantry and came up with chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and nuts. She melted the chocolate chips-- then mixed in the peanut butter chips and nuts. She greased a kitchen funnel and stuffed the point with foil. Then loaded the funnel with the
chocolate mixture. Let it cool and voila' -- a giant candy kiss! She wrapped it in aluminum foil and made her own white pull tab that said-- "Happy Valentine's Day- from Deana" on it.

I'm still thinking on what to do for my best friend. Surely something will pop into my head.
