Labor Day

Special plans?
Weather permitting we'll be up at the lake for the last hurrah of summer. Big bonfire (called the ring of fire) is a local tradition around Sacandaga Lake. Everyone has huge bonfires & sit around talking about the summer and watch fireworks along with seeing how many fires you an count.

Thanks to the working men & women that making this world a better place for us all.

I'll either go see my daughter and her family in Boca Raton or stay home and chill out.

Nothing special here- DH will have to work (yeah holiday pay) and I'll be home with the kids.

My brother just bought a new house so our Labor Day picnic is there. I haven't seen it yet but I hear it's adorable.

We thought about going away but my dh is away next week for work and will be just returning.

We'll be leaving on vacation next Sat. and will be in NC on Labor Day.

We may have a few friends & family over for an impromptu cookout. Depends on when I work.

We're leaving Friday (maybe earlier depending on if Ernesto becomes a hurricane, and heads this way, ugh!), and headed 4 hours north. We're staying with my dad overnight in his camper trailer. We'll pile up in our SUV on Saturday, and head to the campus of the University of Alabama (very close to my dad's). We'll tailgate and peruse the campus during the day. We'll be going to the football game that starts at 6:30pm. Spending that night again at my dad's camper. Traveling about 4 hours farther north on Sunday for a quick overnight visit to my mom's house. We'll stop for a quick visit with Dh parents on Monday morning, and then begin our 7 hour drive home to Florida. Back to work on Tuesday.

I have to work on Sat/ Sun. . . and Monday is our town's Labor Day Picnic. . I'll be working at it, and I'm supposed to make 50+ pies.

I will be doing something with my future mother in law and her friend when the come in town from Ireland to prepare for the wedding

The rest of his family will be coming in on Wednesday after that.

Well, Darlene, this will come as no shock to you, but we'll be going to my father-in-laws for a cookout with the in-laws on Sunday, instead of bagels.

Then, on Monday, we're going to my parents for my Mom's spaghetti and to spent the holiday with them.

My grandsons birthdays are the 2 and 3 so we will be staying home.after that long drive to Chula Vista........ I don't think I can handle another one.... The boys will be 11 and 9

Are you making the pies by yourself? I'd never get finished making 50+ pies! That is a daunting task!!

Nothing special planned here. Maybe just a bbq with some friends.
