What is your color scheme and what kinds of things to you like? My SIL is getting married in June and for cards, she got a mailbox, painted it white and put on decals. It looked great and will fit in with her wedding. She too is having an outside wedding with an indoor reception. Let me know I will come up with some more ideas baf96@yahoo.com

hey just remember something i was told last time i got married (last halloween) no matter what goes wrong you are the only one who will know it wasn't perfect. A friend of mine's daughter is getting married in a couple of weeks. They are having an outside wedding too, they are using the cheap netting (50 yards for like $4) and wrapping it around polls i have seen it done and it is cute just put a bow at the top and it is really nice. i will think of some more give me time.

We just did a huge housewarming party, outdoor, tent, we did purple and beige since it matched the paper products I loved. Delegate whatever you can. I had family do lots of the cooking. Keep your lists ultra organized. I actually put myself on a countdown schedule, by 6 weeks before this this and this would be complete, it helped keep me sane.My centerpices were 8 inch terra cotta pots filled with herbs, surrounded by 2 inch pots with purple petunias, on beige tablecloths it looked really pretty. I rolled beige plastic forks etc. in nice napkins and tied with raffia, I made 1 1/2 as many as I thought I would need. I scattered terra cotta pots turned upside down with pillar candles on them. For extra lighting I wrapped grapevines in white christmas lights and put matching silk flowers through it then hung it loosely from the inside of the tent. Seperate mini salt and pepper shakers on each table was a convenience. Make sure you have something planned to hold your tableclothes down if they aren't very heavy. Good luck, and if you need any other ideas, ask-you have lots of people at this site that do entertain and plan big events.
