I think we are going to have a skate party for my son for his birthday. We were orginally going to have a swim party at the water park, but we don't really want to shell out over $200 just for the space. He has mentioned numerous times that he wants a skate party, so for $80 it's a great compromise. I don't know what to do for favors, do I go with a theme, or what? I was going to do sports, because he loves sports, but know I am not sure. Any suggestions would be great!
They're soooo easy and inexpensive to make. Just melt chocolate, pour, chill and wrap. It's also something you and your son could make together for his guests. Also, have you checked Oriental Trading Company? They have a great selection of themed party favors for CHEAP. That's all I can think of. I'm not too creative today.~

My DD an avid skater aka RinkRat 13 yrs old says the hot item would be glow sticks. They are fun and cheap. Most rinks sell them at the DJ booth or stuff shop in the rink. And sometimes at the stuff shop you can make deals for other things too. So you can most likly get a bunch of glow sticks for a small amount of money.
Glow sticks is what I was going to suggest. They always want those when skating. WalMart has them.

What about those little finger skateboards you see at the dollar store? And a baggie of mixed Bulk Barn candy is always a hit at our parties. Our dollar store also carries those glow sticks people were writing about. Temporary tattoos are also a big hit.
