    Default Inspiration finally struck...

We moved my mother into an assisted living facility earlier this year. She has been wanting one of those old cast iron dog door stops. I've been pricing them and although they weren't that much - the shipping was outrageous.

One day, inspiration struck - how about getting a stuffed animal and restuffing it with something heavy and use that as a door stop. She had to give away her cat and dog and has really been missing them.

I went to Walmart and walked up and down every toy aisle and couldn't find anything. So I walked back through again and there on the bottom shelf was a box with just a handful of stuffed animals.

It must have been "meant to be," because these were hand puppets and already had a lined hole in the animal. I took a empty can and filled it with rocks, then filled that with plaster of paris and lookie here.

I think she is going to be really pleased with this Christmas present.
