I had a very awkward moment
Tonight my husband and I took dd, age 11, to see High School Musical on Ice. It was a terrific show. We loved it......Now to the awkward part. DD had to use the bathroom when the show was over. There was a lot of chaos because everyone was trying to get out of the building. I found a bathroom without a line and I was so grateful. DD and I walk into the bathroom, go around the corner and there are 2 men using the urinals. I had taken dd into the men's room. :surprise:To top all of this off 3 women who we did not know followed us into the men's room. So when I shrieked they all went running out. One of the women yells," I was just following you and your daughter into the bathroom. I was not paying attention to the signs. I thought you knew where you were going."
How ironic that I take dd to such a nice clean show and then I take her into the men's room. She and I will laugh about this for years to come.

That's a good one! You feel bad when these things happen but they give you something to laugh about and tell your grandchildren!

I've done that before, been all the way into the bathroom, door shut behind me, me standing there with my mouth hanging wide open
frozen in time. Yep, it's 'awkward' alright.

Oh no!
I've done that before and was so embarrased! Yep, it is good to laugh about later. Glad you enjoyed the show!

I have done that too. I tried to slip out unnoticed but some man laughed at me. Most of our wal-marts have the same bathroom layout but the newest one has the bathrooms reversed and the door was pushed open so I didn't see the door until it was too late. LOL.

Once when I was in Victoria, BC I asked my husband where the bathrooms were in the ferry office. He pointed and I went. As I entered the bathroom I took the first stall. Minutes later I saw my dh's shoes walk in and take the stall next to me. Aghast, I meekly said his name and asked him if I was in the worng bathroom, to which he had a hearty laugh and replied yes. Mortified I then heard a man who I guess was at a urinal that I didn't see as I entered the bathroom, laugh. When he exited, while I was still in the stall, he gave me a "Have a good day!' We were with the high school band chaperoning and when that story went a round I was given a good ribbing for weeks. At the final band meeting I was given one of those door plaques that indicate that it's a womans bathroom, so that I might never make that mistake again.....

Did that at work. There was a sign on the ladies room to use the mens room. Apparently they didn't tell the men. Was so embarrased and left immediately. LOL

That's what I was thinking...you know now why there was no line
. The funny bathroom stories I have are where they have those family bathrooms where any parent can take their kids in(we have them in some of our malls)....well I don't have kids, but my dad went blind when I was 2 so I rem when we went shopping and he had to go. He hated to go into a ladies bathroom(he was a gentleman like that and was afraid of freaking some woman out)-so I took him into one of those since the mall was newly remodeled and he did not know the layout of the bathrooms anymore(5+ yrs). I rem he started laughing cause he about fell on his face because the toilets are very low to the ground since they are made for kids
. I am sure we made a few people's day.
