    Default Made a decision

...about my kitchen table and chairs. Thanks to the suggestion of buc-o-mama, I've decided to refinish the top of my table and paint the sides and legs black. I'll also be painting the chairs black. Coincidentally, I saw this same look in the pottery barn catalog yesterday. That sealed it for me. I posted the picture from PB on my blog. It is what my kitchen set aspires to be.

Great choice, I would have suggested it myself but I didn't realize you wanted to paint the chairs too.

I love the look! That is something I would buy for my home!

Good luck! Please post pics when you have it completed.

I will indeed. I'm going to work on them today and my goal is to get finished this weekend. (Thank goodness I have a long weekend!)

I really like the PB look in the photo on your blog. The shape of the chairs is more similar to yours than mine are, yours are going to look fabulous. My only suggestion to you would be that if you use some sort of sealant after you paint to use a matte finish if you can.

I'll be waiting for the photos. Have fun!

It's going to look really nice. BTW, I love your art deco lamp in your blog and the vintage end table looks great after you oiled the wood.
